The Warburton Makers Group has acquired a Prusa i3 Mk2 3D Printer. This printer can be used to print 3D objects. The process involves taking the 3D previously designed 3D model that has been converted to an STL file (from software like 3D Studio Max, Fusion 360, Meshmixer) which is then sent to Slic3r to be sliced. This slicing process generates the gcode which is then sent to the 3D Printer using Pronterface. We also hope in future to acquire a 3D scanner so any object can be scanned to a file to be printed by our Prusa.
